Tuk-tuks and emissions
How do tuk-tuks fare when it comes to emissions? Are they clean or otherwise compared with for example the standards of the British MOT test?

Emissions.
Hi jsimpson

The tuk-tuks we produce have to pass the test with VOSA and as you can imagine emissions are part of this test.

The vehicles must produce emission levels of below 3.5%,

We have documented proof from VOSA that our tuk tuks produce levels of
0.12.or below.

On our last test the inspector asked if the vehicle was fitted with a cataliser, I replied no and asked why .

He said your emission on this vehicle shows a reading of 0.07, The European pass regs state that cars with cats must produce 0.50 or below. so as you can see we have no problems with this part of the test, which is why we are soon going to be sending the first two tuk-tuks to North America but fitted with cats.

You got it in one,

Funny you should say that as we have nearly finished our latest one in Jade Green and Gold. :)
